What is the difference between people scrambling for a cheap phone in a retail store or for food after a natural disaster as witnessed in this video? One thing is that Americans have it way too easy. Even in the most diabolical economic condition that we currently face. Don’t agree? Most of the poor in this country still have access to a computer, phones, food(especially cheap and fattening food) and clothing. Also, Americans, who identify themselves as religious aren’t that in practice whatsoever. We’re religious only in theory. But if we were truly spiritual, truly of a higher level consciousness, we wouldn’t buy shit during this “holiday season.” Because profit over people has nothing religious in overtone about it. We’ve literally disintegrated into a bunch of greedy, self-centered underlings, simply serving corporate masters. I plan to not buy squat this year and donate my time to helping other people in need. That’s what giving yourself to the greater cause of civilization is about. The planet needs more higher level thinking and action of furthering the cause of staying relevant as a species. Not simply people seeking lower prices and disproving evolutionary theory by acting like lower-level animals. - G
